Submit a Plan

Submitting a plan to the WAC gives your business the opportunity for exposure, increased experience, and the opportunity for investment. Five to six finalists are selected from the pool of applications.

More Than an Investment Opportunity

Particiapting in the WAC has many benefits that go beyond the opportunity to receive an investment prize.  Many entrepreneurs value the learning experience, the opportunity to better understand their own business model, and the opportunity to see how funding works

Receive Valuable Coaching

Early applicants have many opportunities to pitch, improve, and perfect their business plan through practice, training, and advisory sessions.

Finalists receive valuable coaching from our selection committee on preparing the business pitch.

Get feedback from Angel and Venture Capital Investors

Presenters at the conference will be critiqued and get feedback from the investors panel.

Gain Insight from Speakers

All applicants have access to a business pitch clinic.  Refining a business pitch is not only for obtaining investment capital but also learning how to talk about your business in a way that is clear and easy to understand. Quick pitches get noticed.

Discover Networking Opportunities

Companies not chosen to present will have the opportunity to set up a table during the event and network with an audience of angel investors and experienced institutional investors.

The Willamette Angel Conference, LLC is comprised of investors mostly from the mid-Willamette Valley.  But the investor groups' fundamental interest is good investment.  Companies in Portland, througout Oregon, and the greater Northwest are welcome to apply, recognizing the potential bias based on the investor group.

Matching funds from OGA are now available as matching grants for winning Oregon companies.
